St. John Vianney Theological Seminary exists to form men for the Roman Catholic priesthood in the Archdiocese of Denver. The conduct of this process of integral human, spiritual, intellectual and pastoral formation of young men for the service of priestly ministry is carried out under the authority of the Archbishop of Denver in accord with the directives of the Second Vatican Council, the Congregation for Catholic Education and its norms for Pontifical programs, the Code of Canon Law and the Program of Priestly Formation of the National Conference of Catholic Bishops of the United States.
St. John Vianney Theological Seminary is affiliated with the Theology Faculty of the Pontifical Lateran University.
Seminary Receives Accreditation
St. John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado, has received accreditation by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) in the United States and Canada. The seminary operates under the auspice of the Archdiocese of Denver and exists to form men for the Catholic priesthood. In addition to its programs of spiritual, intellectual, pastoral, and human formation, the seminary offers the Sacred Theology Bachelor’s Degree (STB) in association with the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome, Italy, and the Master of Divinity Degree. It is the Master of Divinity Degree for which the seminary seeks accreditation from ATS.
